A night of fun and dancing over the weekend resulted in the disappearance of one half of my favorite pair of earrings (seen here). For the longest time they were the only earrings I wore, and lately I’ve rotated between those, a mismatched pair of studs from Jujumade, and a lovely bone set from my best friend. It’s unfortunate to no longer have what I consider a staple, one of those pieces that effortlessly elevates an ensemble and makes me feel comfortable on the most bland of days. Earrings (and jewelry in general) are those things I love often but rarely buy because I already have the pair. The good news is there’s an enormous amount of beautiful and timeless work coming from independent makers and designers so if I’m patient I can find something that speaks to me just as strongly. I’m considering a more delicate pair this go-round, smaller, possibly even a single ear cuff. I love these for their sexy, subtle edge, perfect for the everyday accent.
