These are new collages I have in SEEDS, a group exhibition at Westobou Gallery up until January 27. If you’re local, be sure to stop buy and see the wonderful show! At the opening reception, several people commented on the unexpected, minimal direction my collages have taken, but to me it’s where I’ve been for quite some time. It drew my attention to how much I keep my art to myself, but here I am trying to remedy that.
All work is available for sale–contact me if interested.
GABI! These are absolutely stunning. You are such a multi-talented lady! It’s a tough call but I think my favourite has to be the cactus one. I just love the textures and composition. Congrats on being part of the SEEDS exhibition. Love seeing your art so please keep sharing it :) xo
Thank you Lee! I’ve gotten such encouraging feedback and it really means a lot. I’m so shy about my art and don’t think I understand what it means to identify as an artist. I’m not trained (not that you have to be), don’t have much technical/historical knowledge about art as a whole, and don’t make a living with it. David tells me I need to get over my second-guessing because I’m definitely an artist. Ha.
I’ll absolutely keep posting my work :)
